Ronde van Overijssel coming up for Leopard Pro Cycling

Roster: Jack Burke, Konrad Gessner, Colin Heiderscheid, Alexander Krieger, Gaëtan Pons, Pit Schlechter & Mario Spengler - DS: Jan Brockhoff

The races are racking themselves up for Leopard Pro Cycling. With the imporant Flèche du Sud and Tour de Luxembourg coming up, the Luxembourgisch UCI Continental Team heads towards The Netherlands to race at the Ronde van Overijssel. The team won this race during its last participation back in 2014 when Belgian Dennis Coenen was the fastest of a small group.

The Ronde van Overijssel is part of the Holland Cup, just as the Arno Wallaard Memorial was two weeks ago. The Holland Cup is a competition of four Dutch UCI 1.2 races. This means that the Dutch riders and teams will for sure be up there to show themselves in this race that had quite a few changes in the route as of last year. This Saturday, the 200 kilometers long race will go counterclockwise with the start and finish in Rijssen. After the start, the race will pass cities such as Oldenzaal, Ootmarsum - known for hosting the Dutch national championships in 2008, 2011 and 2014 -, Almelo and Nijverdal. The 24 teams participating can expect some Dutch altitude meters in the first 184,4 kilometers, before the race enters Rijssen again. Here, the race outcome will be decided in two local laps of 7,8 kilometers each. For Leopard Pro Cycling, a strong team will be present with a lot of quality. This means that the team can play a variety of cards in the different race situations.
