Pleasing Tour of Antalya performance

The Tour of Antalya summarized
Things went underway with a stage from Side to Antalya. Being the opening stage, and the fact that the riders had to cope with strong winds, the entire day was a nervous one. In the last three kilometers a massive crash disrupted the sprint preparation. Luckily, the Leopard riders were not involved, but sprinter Tim Torn Teutenberg had another issue: a flat tire. On the second day, Teutenberg had the opportunity to sprint this time around. Whereas many sprinters were dropped – some several times – Leopard’s fast guy was always able to keep his place in the bunch. He was helped tremendously by his teammates, and despite being blocked in full sprint, Teutenberg crossed the line in sixth.

Then, we went uphill at the Termessos climb to decide over the winner of stage three and most likely the GC. A strong pace was set by the Uno-X team, but Arthur Kluckers, Elias Maris and Jarno Mobach were able to stay with the first guys a very long time. Kluckers was even involved in some attacks that were unfortunately brought directly back. In the end, Leopard Pro Cycling headed into the final stage of the tour with Kluckers in twelfth and Maris in seventeenth. In the closing stage back to Antalya, Kluckers lost one position, whereas Maris remained in seventeenth. The team took third place in the team ranking, beating many UCI ProTeams. In the streets of Antalya, Teutenberg was part of the bunch sprint once again, but this time he lacked a bit of power for a top result: 11th.
