Leopard off to Tour du Doubs

After a satisfying Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, with a 6th place overall for Jan Maas, and the suprising news earlier this week, Leopard Pro Cycling heads to France to race the Tour du Doubs on Sunday.

Roster Tour du Doubs: Jack Burke, Arthur Kluckers, Alexander Krieger, Jan Maas, Filip Maciejuk, Misch Leyder & Szymon Rekita - DS: Markus Zingen

The Tour du Doubs is a UCI 1.1 race in the same-named French department, close to the border with Switzerland. The 21st edition of this race consists of 188,7 kilometers, with five GPM sprints, all a bit longer ascents with average gradients of 4 to 5 percent. The last one of which has it's summit situated at only 10 kilometers from the finish line. This, plus the fact that the riders will constantly race around 800 to 900 meters above see level with not a single meter of flat road, the race will be far from easy. In recent years the race has had several different outcomes with smaller and bigger groups at the finish line, but always with big differences in the final result. This year, one can expect the same with all the French teams at the start line, combined with strong riders from the Continental level. For Leopard Pro Cycling, a well-rounded team with climbers legs will be at the start line in Morteau, so the team is able to play different cards.
