Last preparation for Flèche du Sud at GP Marcel Kint

Roster: Konrad Gessner, Colin Heiderscheid, Alexander Krieger, Misch Leyder, Gaëtan Pons, Pit Schlechter & Mario Spengler - DS: Jan Brockhoff

Important weeks are coming up for Leopard Pro Cycling, with the Flèche du Sud and the Tour de Luxembourg already on the horizon. In the final preparations, the team takes part in next Sunday's Grote Prijs Marcel Kint in Belgium.

The Grote Prijs Marcel Kint - part of the Belgian Bingoal Cycling Cup - takes the riders from Kortrijk to Zwevegem. The two cities are just six kilometers apart from eachother, but the riders will rack up a total of 185,6 racing kilometers nevertheless. After the start in Kortrijk, the riders will ride a counter clockwise lap of 37,1 kilometers before the race hits the finish line for the first time, and they will do the same after kilometer 83. Then, the race heads into its decisive stage with five local circuits of 20,3 kilometers each. After a typical Flemish race in open fields and with many corners, a bunch sprint in the streets of Zwevegem is to be expected. Last year, it was French sprinter Nacer Bouhanni who took the win.

Jan Brockhoff, Sports Director: "I expect a typical Belgian race with strong ProContinental teams and some well-known names at the start. This means that we have to show that we learned from our mistakes in the last two races and I want and expect an offensive race from our guys from the beginning on. We have to be present whatever scenario takes place. We have the riders to do it, with many cards to play, and we believe in a satisfying outcome."
