Filip Maciejuk signs WorldTour-contract at Bahrain Victorious
He has done it! After four seasons at Leopard Pro Cycling, Filip Maciejuk will join the Bahrain Victorious team as of the start of the 2022 season.
Despite being still only 21-years-old, Filip Maciejuk is already riding four seasons in the Leopard Pro Cycling outfit. After some very promising results in the junior ranks, the Pole joined Leopard prior to the 2018 season and continued to impress. As a first year U23-rider Maciejuk was already able to show outstanding performances at races such as the Triptyque des Monts et Chateaux, the Szlakiem Walk Majora Hubala, the Carpathian Couriers Race and the U23 European Time Trial Championships. It was without doubt that a bright future was ahead of him.
In the following two seasons - 2019 and 2020 - Maciejuk had sometimes a difficult spell, but being the dedicated rider that he is, he was able to come back even stronger. This year the time-trial specialist showed to be back on the right track by finishing second at the Polish Time Trial Championships and winning the French Nations Cup race, L'Etoile d'Or. Maciejuk is the third Leopard Pro Cycling rider in quick succession that has made the step up to the WorldTour-level, following Mattias Skjelmose Jensen (Trek-Segafredo) and Giro d'Italia stage winner Mauro Schmid (Team Qhubeka-NextHash).

"I am over the moon after signing for Bahrain Victorious, one of the best teams in the world. I look back on four great years at Leopard Pro Cycling. It were four seasons in which I was able to develop as a rider, but also as a person. Everyone involved are responsible for making this move happen, so I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. However, as one can imagine, I can't wait to wear the Bahrain Victorious kit in the near future. It will surely give my extra motivation in the coming months."
