Emil Lindgren takes back to back U23 Swedish CX title

2020 is only twelve days old, but Leopard Pro Cycling has already celebrated two victories. Following yesterday's national title of Loïc Bettendorff, today Emil Lindgren does the same as he succesfully defended his U23 Swedish Cyclocross title.

In Varberg - in the west of Sweden - Emil Lindgren started his championship very well. Because he was always good in front, he was able to focus on finding a solid pace. The 19-year-old found himself back in third position, following two Elite riders, since it was a mixed championship with both U23 and Elite riders. Lindgren's pace was almost on the same level as the two riders in front, but especially on the more technical sections, he sometimes struggled a bit. Nevertheless, Lindgren was able to maintain his lead to the other U23 competitors and crossed the line as third and best U23 rider.

Emil Lindgren

"I am very happy do defend my national title in the U23 category. I notice that I am getting closer to the Elite riders, which motivates me to keep working hard everyday. I am also happy to take my first victory in my new Leopard Pro Cycling outfit. It's a great start to 2020 and I can't wait to get going on the road as well."
