Emil Lindgren joins Leopard Pro Cycling
After signing Luxembourger Loïc Bettendorff, Leopard Pro Cycling is happy to announce that the Swede Emil Lindgren is the second signing for the 2020 season. Allround sprinter Lindgren is the first ever Swede to ride for Leopard Pro Cycling.
In the 2019 season, Lindgren has performed well all season as part of the Ryska Posten Racing Team and the Swedish National Team. Take for example the eight place in the Scandinavian Race in Uppsala and the Hansa Bygg Kalmar GP, both tough UCI 1.2 races. Lindgren was besides able to mix in well with the pro's and some of the best U23 riders. He took fourth position in the GC of the Tour of Estonia, where he also took the youth classification, and he crossed the line in twelfth at the U23 European Championships in Alkmaar. Finally, Lindgren was also able to win as he sprinted to the victory at the GP Dewailly, a Kermesse race in Belgium. After these promising results, Leopard Pro Cycling decided to pull the trigger and sign Emil Lindgren for the 2020 campaign.
Emil Lindgren
"I am really excited for the coming season. I hope I can help the team in the best way possible and perform well at the same time. I am looking forward to race in a well-structured team with good riders and staff and a great racing program, like Leopard Pro Cycling. I am sure riding this team will allow me to further develop and take a step forward as a cyclist."

Markus Zingen, Team Manager
"With the signing of Emil, we add once again another exciting prospect to our team. Especially in the classics and flat stages in stage races, we have with Emil another card to play. However, we must not forget that Emil is still 'only' nineteen years old and therefore he will get the time to get to know his place in the team and the peloton. As we have been doing throughout the years, we will give our utmost support."
